Bones and all is one of my favorite movies by far! It's based on the novel "Bones and all" by Camille DeAngelis. I love how the story combines 2 completely different genres and somehow it works. Each character has their own personality, it makes you wonder how they will react to a situation. Luca Guadagnino directs the film perfect. Every scene is beautiful and detailed from the lighting to the props. His filming style is unique, from the angles, colors, and panning of the camera.
Summary (movie version)- Going back to 1988, the story follows an 18 year old girl named Maren, who was born a cannibal. While on a journey to find her mother she crosses paths with a young man named Lee, also born a cannibal. As they embark on their love for each other, they are met with the struggles of society, identity and life.
Fun fact- The movie was filmed in Chillicothe and Cincinnati, Ohio. Being Luca Guadagnino's first time in the United States.
